Why don’t you become a councillor?

The County Council has made a series of podcasts to encourage people to stand as councillors. To see them click here.

County Councillor and leader of the Lib Dem group on Cambridgeshire County Council David Jenkins is one of those featured in the podcasts. Cllr Jenkins says: ‘it is important that people come forward to stand as councillors. And this means younger people and people from minority groups. There are too many white bus pass holders on the County Council. We need others who can challenge established views, who can express contrary opinions and who will ensure that the council really does represent everybody’
