With all the media coverage of the general election is easy to overlook the local elections but there are councillors to be elected to South Cambs District Council as well on Thursday.
The Lib Dem candidate for Cottenham (including also Rampton and Oakington and Westwick) is Lynda Harford. Click here to see Lynda’s campaign blog.
Sue says: ‘ Lynda would make an excellent councillor. She is passionate about the right of individuals and is really concerned that our villages retain their characters and can be supported with good facilities: shops, schools and transport. She lives in Cottenham and is a parish councillor. I’d love to see her on our local Lib Dem councillor team.’
The Lib Dem candidate for Histon and Impington (which also includes Orchard Park and the Meadows) is Edd Stonham. Click here to see Edd’s campaign blog.
David says: ‘Edd is one of those people who is always doing something and if he’s elected I know that he’ll work very hard to serve the people in the ward. He is very concerned about facilities for children and other young people and he has been at the core of the team which is delivering the new playground at the Rec. He lives in Histon where he is a parish councillor. He would bring considerable strength to the local Lib Dem councillor team if he is elected.’
