County Councillor David Jenkins recently visited the new primary school at Arbury Park and met head Jenny Russon. The school has been open for a year now and currently has a capacity of 120 pupils. This will rise to 210 when it becomes established. This school is an important part of the local community and is one of the reasons that parents with young children chose to move to the development.
Cllr Jenkins said: ‘it really is a smashing school. It’s a far cry from the primary school I attended and reflects the way children are taught in the 21st century. I was very impressed by the wide corridors, the splendid school hall and by the outside spaces. I’m also delighted that the wind turbine is now proudly spinning; it can be seen from the B1049 as you drive down from the A14.’
