The footpath in Histon between Clay Street and Burkett Way borders the site of Excel Care’s property on Clay Street. Unfortunately Excel Care doesn’t seem to concerned about the impact which its property and associated foliage has on the adjacent footpath.

Despite repeated requests from the Parish Council nothing has been done. County Councillor David Jenkins has sent photographs of the steadily worsening situation to the responsible officer at the County Council but so far there has been no action.

Cllr Jenkins said: ‘this is really not good enough. This is a big company with a substantial operation in the village. It really should recognises its responsibility to the local community and cut its hedge!’

Clr Jenkins has also brought the poor condition of the footpath itself to the attention of the Council’s officer and is waiting for a response.
