The new Cambridgeshire County Council Lib Dem group met for the first time last Friday. 10 of its 23 members are new and there is now a healthy mix of young and old, the average age is less than 50, and male and female. 2 Lib Dem County Councillors for CH&I …
… and for the Meadows, Oakington, Orchard Park, Rampton and Westwick.

No news about the Guided Bus
There was a bizarre Council meeting at Shire Hall yesterday. As is normal the Council debated recent Cabinet meetings including the one of 21 Apr 09 which included the item ‘Guided Busway: contract update’. Problem was Cabinet got its update in private with press and public excluded from the meeting. And the report of the meeting simply says ‘Cabinet has now received and noted the latest confidential update on the current contractual position’. Read the rest of this entry.
The Age of Stupid
“Powerful.. compelling.. incredibly entertaining.. it could change your life” These are some of the comments made about Age of Stupid, the brilliant new climate change movie starring Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite as a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, looking for clues and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?
